Alphonse Mucha is one of my favourite artists of all time. This is my reworking of one of his wonderful pieces based around precious stones, 'Topaz'. I used a combination of acrylic and oil on canvas board. Some elements of the background pattern, border and several of the leaves in the foreground have been embellished with gold leaf which catches the sunlight beautifully.
